In 2010, Haiti suffered a catastrophic earthquake that took over 100,000 lives.

I went to Port-au-Prince and co-founded Moral Fibers, an ethical e-commerce clothing company that gave artists in the developing world a full-time job creating art for fashion.
With Moral Fibers, we won McGill University's Dobson Cup business plan competition and $15,000, and went on to raise a seed round of $150,000 from angel investors.
I managed a team of 5 full-time employees in the US and 16 employees in Haiti.
We made and sold over $70,000 in clothes.
After 20 months, my partner and I dissolved Moral Fibers in order to further pursue our studies at McGill University.
During that time, we significantly helped 16 Haitian artists and their families out of poverty and into steady employment and education.
